Many thanks to H.E Yoweri Kaguta Museveni the President of the Republic of Uganda for the wise idea of establishing Uganda Petroleum Institute Kigumba, similar regards are extended to the Parliament of Uganda for their approval of the establishment of this Institution.

Uganda Petroleum Institute Kigumba still enjoys its traditional status of being the best professional training Institution in Oil and Gas and Centre of excellence in East Africa.

UPIK has the potential to go to heights and I am convinced that it can realize its full potential to successfully trigger national and international transformation through Oil and Gas.

I take cognism to the Government of Uganda, particularly the Ministries of Education, Energy and Finance for the brotherly sacrifice of time and resources to move UPIK Agenda forward.

As the Institute Secretary, I am in-charge of the Administrative function of the Institute.

Finally, it is gratifying to observe that UPIK is partnering with the World Bank and the other Institutions.
