These are activities that Uganda Petroleum Institute Kigumba undertook during the period of July 2017 to June, 2018. Highlights activity briefs from the following departments:
Academic Affairs – this fall is under the supervision of the Deputy Principal. This section contains all curriculum development aspects, status and capacity of training workshops and other training facilities, International accreditation, students’ placement on Industrial Training programs and Continuous Staff Development. Key achievements here include accreditation of the Diploma in Petroleum Engineering (DPE) Program by the National Council for Higher Education, roll out of two new diplomas i.e. Diploma in Upstream Operations and Diploma in Downstream Operations as recommended by the Institutional Development Plan of 2014. The other key achievement is the signing of contract and subsequent commencement of work by Twining institution, the French Petroleum Institute (IFP)
Academic Registrar – this section details the current enrollment and prospective enrollment activities, it also gives an update on assessments and awards of qualification. The current total enrolment for the DPE is 67 students; 33 completing second year students and 34 completing their first year.

Dean of Students – this section presents activities regarding the welfare of students including: Health, discipline, feeding and accommodation sports and other cocurricular activities.
Human Resource and Administrative Affairs – this covers all matters to do with staff welfare and day to day administrative activities of the Institute, it shows current staffing totaling 63; 12 Teaching Staff and 51 None Teaching Staff.
The Estates Department – a detailed presentation of activities such as the completion, partitioning and furnishing of the new Administrative building made and a projection of the work in the pipeline for the next Academic year, is presented here for perusal.
